“6ft apart, yet united at heart” a statement that drives home some of what our world has been experiencing. Togetherness through Zoom conference calls, virtual happy hours, our society is coming to terms with a new normalcy. I don’t know if this is for the better, for the worse, or neither. But I do know that change is difficult, as these last few weeks have been.
A quote I once heard written by John Maxwell, “Change is inevitable, growth is optional” resonates well... I hope that for me this is a time to grow, to appreciate time with family and friends, and hopefully embrace whatever my future brings, as uncertain as it may: whether discomfort, grief, fear, joy, or gratitude. Social distancing may be the norm, but I will strive to stay united with those around me, because together we will overcome.
