Years from now, we'll tell the youth about these ancient days, about how civilisation surrendered to the will of a humble toxin. We'll tell stories of how reality paralleled bible prophecies, and of how death was at war with our immune systems. The story will touch on how isolation was our defence, and on how many perished before witnessing the dawn. We'll recount how our sacrifices brought about our victory, and how hope conquered the tyranny of fear and uncertainty. The youth will draw inspiration from the compassionate love that existed amongst us, and will know of the separation that united us. With humbled eyes we'll recount history, saying it was a microscopic toxin that ended a life, and started a war.
